Receptionist Part-Time

LOADERS Wanganui is a third generation family owned company based in Wanganui with over 65 years in the Civil Contracting Business. We are well established and highly recognised, specialising in roading, drainage, earthworks, retaining walls, subdivisions and site works. We continue to enjoy strong current and forward workload.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, engaging, motivated person to join our reception team. We are a collaborative and hardworking team that has fun and enjoyment in the work that we do. You will be part of an energetic and collaborative team environment.

Reporting to the Office Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Primary tasks will include, but are not limited to:
  • Direct public enquiry to the appropriate place
  • Greet visitors, notify staff of their arrival
  • Secondary tasks will include, but are not limited to:
  • Data entry
  • Digitising documents
  • Assisting with general administrative tasks of the business, such as managing documents, filing, or organising

What you’ll have:

  • A friendly, cheerful, engaging personality and ability to relate well to others
  • Proven previous experience in a similar role
  • An eye for detail
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant computer software including MS Office and Outlook
  • Planning, time management and organisational skills
  • Office work skills, including telephone and document management
  • Sound knowledge of administration policies, systems and procedures
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to upskill and learn new things

What we have on offer:

This is a part-time job share position of 1pm-5pm Monday to Friday. There will be some occasions where you will be required to do increased hours in order to cover the other receptionist. You will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package.

Contracts Manager

LOADERS Wanganui is a third generation family owned company with over 65 years in the civil contracting industry. LOADERS prides itself on having a skilled workforce and technologically advanced machinery. LOADERS is well established and highly regarded, specialising in roading, drainage, earthworks, retaining walls, subdivisions and site works. Our staff excel in an environment underpinned by our core values developed from over 65 years of successful operation in our family business. We continue to enjoy strong current and forward workload.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Contracts Manager to be part of our successful LOADERS team. This is a diverse role which includes both office and site based tasks. We are looking for an applicant who has a positive and proactive approach. You will be responsible for the successful completion of our projects including both internal and external resource coordination, client communication and financial management.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Managing the financial outcomes of contracts
* The successful delivery of contracts ensuring each project is delivered on time, to the clients satisfaction and within budget
* Contract managing and administration
* Planning and programming
* Preparing claims and variations
* Subcontractor management, client relationship, personnel management
* Health and Safety, environmental and quality assurance compliance

 

What you’ll have:
* Excellent people skills with an emphasis on building strong relationships
* Strong management and communication skills
* Experience with leading people to achieve goals
* Extensive work experience in Civil Construction or Tertiary Qualification in Civil Construction
* A practical understanding of Quality- Assurance and Health and Safety in the workplace
* Full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence
